Schulte Sports is excited to announce the addition of former New York Yankee 20 game winner Fritz Petersen to the Sports Legends Museum player signing schedule. Having played with the likes of Mickey Mantle, Roger Maris, Thurman Munson, Fritz has just completed writing a book about his playing days, his relationship with the New York media and fellow players. The book is entitled, “Mickey Mantle is Going to Heaven” and includes a chapter about his favorite player, Babe Ruth (“Ruth & Maris Steroid Free”).
Fritz will appear at Sports Legends Museum, located adjacent to Camden Yards, on Monday, August 31, 2009 between the hours of 4 pm – 6:30 pm, prior to the Yankees - Orioles game (7:05pm) to sign his book for free. Schulte Sports will conduct a public signing so fans and collectors can purchase signature tickets to have Fritz sign their memorabilia items either brought from home or purchased on-site.
Fritz pitched his first major league game against the Baltimore Orioles opening day, 1966 at Memorial Stadium. Ironically, he pitched his last professional game against the Orioles on June 19, 1976 as well.
Signature tickets for the Fritz Peterson memorabilia items can be purchased on www.schultesports.com or on-site (Sports Legends Museum) the day of the event.
